Zone of Silence . . . hummm. Interesting. Very interesting.

I haven't been to one of those stops by the road to see some strange things in a really long time. Probably not since I was a kid.

When I was a girl from 3 or 4 years of age until 10, we used to travel the then two lane Route 66 from St. Louis to west Texas and back and I remember lots of neat places along the way. And then, older, even more going out to New Mexico, Colorado and Arizona.

My best use of a zone of silence is in the spring and fall around here when no AC or heat is going, all is still and quiet except birds singing and God's voice magnifies in my heart.

Thanks! Another neat post.

I think I saw a lady from there in the grocery store. She was at least three times normal size. She had very strange markings. I think the food stamps were red and purple. I love your knowledge, wisdom, and yarn spinning style.

Driving through Kansas, there is a sign for a three legged cow, and the largest prairie dog. I hear from the locals, that it is a rip off.

"To this day, no explanation of his (Von Braun's) visit has been found."

Maybe he liked tourist traps, too.
