We got back and settled in just in time for me to take off again. A few days after we got home, I flew to Oklahoma City to speak at Oklahoma Christian’s chapel services on Monday and Tuesday. It was a blessing to meet so many incredible young people. They listened and laughed and made a point of getting to me to introduce themselves. I had lunch with Dudley Chauncey and Chance Vanover — two great men of God. Dudley’s at work this week at Winterfest, one of the many gifts he has bequeathed the youth of our religious tribe. I visited one of his campus ministry classes and answered their questions before meeting Dudley and his lovely wife for a late supper. The next day was another busy one before flying out that night for Detroit.

This Sunday, I’ll preach our two worship services and have lunch with the lovely Kami before heading out for Columbus, Ohio. I am teaching a day long course there for professionals in other fields who are transitioning into managing long term care facilities. That evening, I’ll drive the 4-5 hours home. On Wednesday, Kami and I fly out to Colorado to visit some friends for a few days. Kami was raised in Lakewood on the west side of Denver. Most of her friends and all of her family have moved away from that incredible city, but we have some friends there and several more down in Colorado Springs where we’ll spend the bulk of our time. Saturday, we fly home.

I’ll preach that Sunday, the 27th, and then on Tuesday afternoon I’ll drive to Cincinnati. All day Wednesday, I am presenting the keynote address and a seminar class for the Ohio Council on Aging. I’ll get home sometime Wednesday night. And on Saturday, I fly to Little Rock to speak for 4 days at Pleasant Valley CoC.

And there’s more… but that can wait. I’ll try to update here and over at Tentpegs as I can. Thank you for your consistent prayers, friendship, and love. That’s the only thing that keeps me going.
